Low Tea Luncheon

One year in February (pre-CoVid era), I had some girlfriends over for lunch, and we sat around my coffee table with an afternoon tea-inspired menu.  And because it was February (at the time), I decided everything should be pink.  And white.  So, pink and white.  Pink and white napkins, pink food (when possible), pink beverages – you get the idea.

It was very pretty.  Very feminine.  And quite pink, with a little bit of white.

Think Pink Tea

Here was my menu:

Kir Royale

Smoked salmon pinwheels on wheat bread with lemon-dill butter

Egg salad in tomato cups

Roast beef with whipped horseradish on wheat bread

Port cheese (with a dab of fig preserves) in filo cups

Cherry-almond cream scones with mock Devonshire cream, strawberry jam, and lemon curd

Fresh strawberries

Shortbread hearts

Eton Mess
